I was wondering if aqua-soft has anything against using iFrames in our signatures?
That is all.

I dont think you can, Ive done it before with my old site and it was removed, I dont know who remembers, once I had a huge ass ascii anime character. ![]()
I do remember that big sig, and it was removed due to its size. Those iframes are not good for 56k users like me. They jut increase the loading time, plus if you are making it for webhits, i dont think it is fair, there is not really a point in making that.

That was actually me who removed that.

I was going to use an iFrame that showed the users hardrive. So you don't need to open up explorer, you just use the visual window to browse your hardrive.
It would have been cool to save stuff to your hardrive. ![]()
But in the end it did slow down the forum slightly so I removed it...

Allowing an iframe could mean a security threat to all users on a forum. anyone could put a script on a page that would execute when the frame is loaded. So I guess iframes are out of question?
Same goes for flash-sigs. Don't know if anyone heard of the latest bug in the flash 6 player, apparently if you're a good programmer and want to do some damage you could let some script execute that would cause a buffer overflow in your pc and give access someone else access to your pc!
So best would be to only allow gifs and jpgs. Along with text of course.
well you know people here there are always those few that have to do something bad, some clown would link that iframe to some bad site with popups and a flash thing that would make some gay sounds so thats why its off sorry. might turn it on for a few people though we'll see ![]()
