Last year i took the A+ Core exam which is based on hardware and passed it, and i wanna take the updated OS Technologies exam in a few months after i study for it. I was wondering if i would have to retake the hardware test since they updated the OS test??

you do not. I know this. The new OS one is supposed to be somewhat easier, from what ive heard.
