[help] Yz Dock Shuts Down

I recently reformatted my pc and installed the latest graphics drivers and the DirectX 9.0b thing however, upon opening Yz Dock, I added the recyclebin docklet and tried to change the icon but when I clicked the button "Change Icon" YzDock unexpectedly quit. I thought it unusual so I reopened the dock and dragged a shortcut to the dock and tried changing the icon and ended up with the same results. I decided it must have been the order I installed everything so I attempted to reinstall DirectX which failed since the installer said it was already installed (which it was but I thought I could rewrite the files. So I decided to reinstall my graphics drivers. Nothing worked. I then tried aquadock, the yzdock alternative and received the same results. Mobydock is crap (imho) and I don't want to pay for objectdock and Yz dock is my favorite so, if anyone can help me in any way, please do. thx :(

ok, chill, man.

1. don't use aqua dock. nothing is added to it, so of course it'll give you the same problem. it's just y'z dock, but illegally re-badged.

2. have you tried a fresh unzip of y'z dock?

3. mobydock is not crap. it runs differently on different systems, and liking something is just personal preference. no need to disrespect the app and its creator.

4. objectdock is free.

5. i posted links to solutions here: http://www.aqua-soft.org/board/index.php?showtopic=16032

lol, sry. thx for the links hope they'll help, and I said that was my opinion about mobydock ("imho") And I really just don't like Objectdock either.

Edit: the 3rd link worked, the one about using StyleXP 2.0 I guess that must be the problem, oh well, the icon changing kinda sucks but it's worth it, thanks dreamz.

i know it was just an opinion, but it's hurtful to say "crap."

anyways, glad you got it sorted out. by the way, you might consider using the uxtheme patch instead of stylexp. less hassle, and completely free.
