[ann] New Powermacs Are Out - Binary Stars

Apple has released the new lineup of it`s flagship machines, The PowerMac G5s. The new lineup features all-dual configurations in 1.8, 2.0 and 2.5 GHz flavours. All machines have 8x DVD SuperDrive and system bus from 900MHz to 1.25GHz per processor. The icing on the cake is the Dual 2.5 GHz beast that uses a new liquid-cooling system to disperse the heat. However these machines sport a spicey price tag of $1999 (for the Dual 1.8), $2499 (for Dual 2.0) and $2999 (for the Dual 2.5 top of the line)

I think I read this in a previous thread, but doesn't the case look shorter? There doesn't seem to be much room unlike the first gens which you could use it as a hanger for a 747.

2) Some has see it in real life that Display

3) Sources had previously stated that Apple would refresh its line of Cinema Displays alongside a refreshed Power Mac

1) Apple Computer, Inc. has told several resellers not to expect any further shipments of its iMac G4, and has delayed new Power Mac G5 (Edit: new G5 has release) orders from some resellers by several weeks, according to reports from multiple AppleInsider sources.

2) One source has reportedly tested a pre-production 1.6GHz iMac G5, but claims that the unit consisted of an enclosure made from generic prototype plastics.
