I have a Wireless-G Linksys router, and some windows computers, etc..
With the powerbook and its built in Airport Extreme will it connect to this seamlessly? I know it uses the 802.11G standard...
Also, how well do windows and macs network? I hear its pretty good now.

they should network fine... the mac will be able to view shared files on the windows computer by default... but i think you have to turn on some option to make the windows comp able to see the shared mac files(if macs even share files. i dont have one, so i dont know).

This is more suited in either the Mac or Pc Harware forum than in GD-
Altough i know this isnt the best "fix" there isnt a better one....
It has been fixed on the new forum structure for IPB 2.0, so please, consider this as the right fix
