does anyone not from the land of japan use anime chick backgrounds?
Why not get a background of a *real* chick? i admit, it's neat it's anime.. and looks cool.. but if you're gonna have anime why not somebody cool like Goku or Vash the Stampede?

Yes. 
I do if I ever find decent HQ ones for a decent series.. (IE; NGA).
And not everyone likes Americanized Animé (Lazy people, use the damned accent! And that does include many, many dubbed ones). And not everyone wants a macho figure on their desktop (which, excuse me is very 13s and under if you ask me).
I won't get into the H argument. (Don't start it, trust me you won't win.)
