Aqua-Soft ForumsOK i dont know if this is possible because someone told me that it was part of the hardware, but my question is for a complete mod of an apple is there a way to remove the HP startup or i duno possible change it to a mac g5 startup. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE xp startup but the one right when ur computer starts? ok thanks i hope sum1 can understand this!

That screen is part of the BIOS and as far as I know cannot be changed, but it can be turned off in the BIOS, although I don't know exactly what it's called, been over 8 years since I had my old POS HP!! Look around in your BIOS setup for splash screen or full screen logo or something to that effect, I know it can be shut off.
BIOS bitmaps/images can be replaced. But be aware, if you mod a BIOS file, overwrite your current BIOS with the modded one and it doesn't work, then not just your Windows is gone, your machine is gone, got it? HP won't take this the easy way, you modded core components of the computer which is forbidden and you'd have to pay the repair, since it isn't covered by any warranty.

Yepers, youve got to hack the bios, and if you replace it with an image thats too big/too many colors/not the right pallet/format, chances are your computer wont start. The BIOS is the component that gets everything to communicate, without it your computer is a pile of hardware that beeps at you when you turn it on, and you have to go and get it reflashed through some fancy device thing, not fun. If you screw up tho you could always get a new elcheapelo motherboard, and baske in the radiance of hardware that wasnt selected for its dirtcheapness.
Anywho you can turn it off and have it show a normal boot up screen, ie it checking the RAM, showing IDE devices/PCI devices/IRQ stuff/CPU speeds/bios revision. Just go into the bios durring startup (probaly 'del' of one of the 'F(number)'). THere should be an option "show verbose startup" or "show splash on startup" or soemthing like that.
Jeez, isn't that going too far? modding the GUI to the max! just buy a Mac dude.

And be content with even more limited modding capabilities. No thanks, I mod for sake of modding, not Macs. It's just a coincidence that Apple happens to have the only OS worth immitating.

nothing acctually, it boots straight to the loading screen--kinda looks like the hacked version of the Windows Boot screen, you know the slivery one with the light grey apple in the middle...
get the boos screen here, for bootskin or whatever
currently i have the bootscreen of flyakite but it doesnt haave the best PART THE CIRCULARY SWIRLKY
before i make changes using that bootscreen i ask does it have the circular swirly included in the actualy osx?
