Go to konfabulator.com and download it from the gallery (search for widescape weather).
I painstakingly renamed all the pngs so they work with the weather 2004 plugin (they were named things like sleet and lightsnow instead of numbers). That was probably the hardest part, it took about 20 minutes.

yup same here except i made all the png icon backgrounds orange
and didn't even bother asking the author cause i knew what the answer was gonna be
I like this a lot better than the big shiney weather stuff. Minimalism for life.

Same here . Looks GREAT
If he doesnt allow me to release I can create the box easily enough and make a read me on how to change the icons, which number corresponds to which icon. That way you guys wont have to rename them all reaallly sloooww like I did.

While I totally agree with your statement, what's the general feeling regarding the ethics of this approach? 
Should we be indirectly promoting usage of a widget even when permission is denied?
Will it lead to a bad rep for our community by crApple users (yes Seph I'm talking about you 
)?
Or worse still, restrictive practices?
Like I said this is in no way flame-bait, I just honestly don't know what the consensual view is within the community.
btw juno, I went one further and created a custom weather script for which no png renaming is necessary and also incorporates the change location and change skin (orange/transparent/white/black) scripts
Also, I have a feeling ralph will give permission, having corresponded with him, I think he just needs sometime to develop his concept fully before he's ready to allow others to release their own widgets.

Yeah....I was thinking about that. Nice idea with the script, I didn't think about that.
i say someone just changes the normal images, and make one grey pixel in every one of them so theyre not all the same, then release it.... <_

yah, im usually very patient for things, but when ive been waiting a few months for a damn weather port, i just dont care about permission anymore... does anyone feel that they could put the 1 grey pixel on these weather icons and release it? if not, ill do it if someone sends me them
well... after finally giving up for someone to release, i just went n downloaded the icons and made it myself. came out pretty good.
it took no more than 10minutes tbh.
the renaming of the pngs was a pain
i have both orange and black versions too :-)

Use Century Gothic Bold as the font, it is much more accurate.
