[help] Adding File Stats To The Copy Dialog

Anybody know if you can add the following stats to the copy, cut, delete dialog?

Total bytes

Number of files

Which file it is on

How many bytes it has completed

I'm pretty sure you can get the info from somewhere within windows I just don't know enough about the system files to even start.

what diolog?

The little thing that pop's up with the animation and progress bar

sure, the statistics can be read out somewhere, but I doubt you can hack the dialog in a way that shows them. It would have to be recoded, I guess.

I'm just curious: you want to get your copy/move dialog in the MacOS style, right?

Is that how Mac OS has it? I know you can move various elements around this is WinT's mod of the download dialog Click here

If I knew the proper keys all I'd then need to know is where the dialogs are. Unfortanetly it seems most of the mod sites ive found are stuck on telling people how to change their boot screen by reg hacking instead of using one of the many freeware programs. Any way if you have any idea I would greatly apreciate it.

I think it's from the Mac version of IE (definitely not the system copy diologs or the Safari download window)

Nope he did that to his windows copy of IE

Uhh...I wasn't talking about that guy--I was talking about what ir_mudd's diolog is supposed to look like/what it's originally from in OSX (which is IE) ;)

So it wouldn't make sense to apply the same mod to Windows' file copy/paste diologs ;)

I'm not so sure that it is possible with just reshacker. Pop-ups don't have a nice dialog resource to cut and paste code into.

You may need to look for some small program add the info. Unfortunately, I don't know of any.

edit #1: @keith:who were you taking about? I was confused for a bit with this whole thread. Had to re-read it a few times.

edit #2: just to clarify, ir_mudd did that tutorial, not WinT.

You may be able to do this with TotalCopy:

wow i have trying it and is impressive :woot:

Now how mod it? :D

Indeed, impressive, but there is no love in the design of the dialog, it is completely ugly. And I guess it doesn't take over the standard dialog, you have to start or invoke the prog in some way.
