[help] Resolution

hello~ i am currently using a toshiba satellite pro m10, and has a 32 mb Nvidia Gforce 4~?

My issues are that my default resolution is 1024x768 and i want to extend the resolution to a higher pitch, say 1280x960 but when i set the mode to it, it overlaps the screen borders??

what should i do ?? >.<
