CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM:
Its great that you can use the pen tool and draw all over the place to make a random shape, but try to actually create something...worthwhile for a wallpaper. Honestly anyone could do that if they had photoshop...make the pen tool your friend. i dont mean to brag, look at my better than bliss wallpapers. they were created with the pen tool in photoshop and colors and gradients...not hard, use the pen tool well, not point and click and drag all over the f-ing place...

Look guys! See what I made! See what I made! I did this in one minute and that included saving the file. Its great that you are learning, but do something, um...more creative. its like making a wallpaper with this huge lense flare and nothing else. its something you could do really easily, and anyone could do it.

I created vectors and specified their points and arcs and what not.
I know how to do digital art, this turned out exactly as I wanted it to, it's my style
With regards to the above picture, it's not the same, you can tell the difference by the edges and curves of mine that they were created NOT by running a pen all over the place.

I think it looks really good. Sometimes the simplest things are the ones that look the best. Anyway, nice job.

I don't care if you did that in 5 min, it's still not vector art, vector art is different than pixel art.
It's like comparing an etching with a painting, they aren't the same type of digital art forms.
They're both ugly.

curious, do you have any suggestions about where someone new to vector art would learn from?
Hmm, well, I usually play around with stuff until I get the hang of it, there are also online tutorials I'm sure out there to help you through, and if you really wanted I'm sure there's a book or two out there (amazon search maybe)?

Most of those years were spent doing webpage design, which I ended up doing on a quasi-professional level, i.e. selling webpage designs to random businesses, which is a bit different, but it's still digital art. I've been doing non-webpage related art for...3 years I guess?
