[help] When Adding Icons, It Leaves Blank Space

Hey,

I have the newest version of MobyDock. I have a problem with when I am trying to add icons to the dock after an initial install. If you drag an icon onto the dock and then let go (of the mouse) to put it there and it "misses" and goes to the desktop instead of the bar, it leaves a blank space on the dock. Even if you put more icons on the dock, there is still the blank space. I haven't been able to right-click the blank space and get rid of it; and when you close the program and restart it and Windows XP Pro, it crashes upon opening. I believe it is crashing because of the blank space.

So, I am forced to reinstall it again, and hope that I don't make another blank space.

Please help to see if there is a fix to this. Thanks very kindly,

Adam

Run the app, (with mobydock in the bground), rightclick the *icon* in the 'running area' and select add to dock... it should add it in the 'shortcut area'.

Hope that works for ya...

that works, but there is still the problem with it sometimes creating spaces that aren't supposed to be there. It can happen while dragging stuff off of the dock too.

Its actually "Stay In Dock" you click after you run the process.

I just think its a bug.

Thanks for the help!!

Here's the deal, so deal with it:

Moby Dock is buggy as Hell. Uninstall Moby Dock, shutdown, boot, and re-install Moby Dock.

Then, make shortcuts (on the Desktop) for all the apps you wanna drag onto Moby Dock.

Carefully drag each one onto the Dock. If you do this one at a time, carefully, you shouldn't have this problem again.

Also, if you're having problems with MD not starting at boot-time, add the Moby Dock program folder to your computer's work path.

I love the Dock, but it used to give me such Hell.

Peace

Mobydock shows blank spaces when you it doesn't find the corresponding PNGs for some items. I've never seen a blank space in any other case.

If you have any problems with an item just edit items.ini and delete the lines concerned. Renumber the items and start Mobydock again.

Have a nice day!
