[help]"broken" Wallpaper

I have Windows XP SP1 home edition with flyakite's 5.1 mod installed.Whenever I start my computer the wallpaper is broken.It gets fixed automatically after I run any application.Help would be highly appreciated.

I have posted a screenshot.Take a look at it.Please.

I'm thinking perhaps Windows is incorrectly scaling your wallpaper on first load... try loading the wallpaper in whatever graphics application you use, resizing it to your screen res, and saving it again.

For example, it looks like you're running 1024x768 and if the wallpaper is, say, 1280x1024, then Windows resizes the wallpaper to your resolution on its own, but it may be doing a poor job of it.

Also, if you hit F5 on your desktop it should fix it, but it'll screw up on your next boot again (Refresh key).

Cerebral thanks for the tip.But this did not help.The image is already 1024x768.Also refreshing does not help.I have tried it at every I switch on the computer.

Perhaps there's a little corruption in the image file? Try opening it in your graphics application, then re-save it without making any changes, and see if that fixes the problem.

Have you enabled "Hide desktop icons" from OB's General options?

That causes problems with my desktop but when I disable it everthing loads up fine.

I really don't pay much attention to it because, like you said, it gets fixed when you run a program or a fullscreen window.
