ok, is it possible to extract the graphics from the *.dmg files that seems to be the format when dling a shapeshifter theme for mac.
or is *.dmg just an archive.?
and if so what kind of files are extracted and how do i extract thoose files graphics?
did that just get confusing...?

As for your question, I have no idea. 
You should do a search, the forum is full of requests including the word "DMG". AFAIK it is not possible. I'm not sure what a dmg is, I suppose some kind of imagefile which can be mounted, but not in Windows until now.

must be possible for someone using pearpc with osx to extract pngs from themes right?
im in the blind basicly, tried googleing after tuts/guides on how to port mac themes... but nada...
Usually porters are supplied with the graphics directly by the creators of the original theme or they have a Mac at hand and are able to extract the graphics that way.
But of course, if you use PearPC and are able to transfer the files from the "Mac" to Windows, perfectly

actually i dont know of a way that you could transfer a file from pearpc to windows...can you think of a way?
I didn't test PearPC since I don't have any Apple OS disks at hand, but maybe PearPC features s way to virtually connect the the local network or whatever. Or it features access to FAT32 disks, I don't know. But regarding your comment, I conclude that it doesn't.

here is a quick translation:
Ok, surely you also have been asked how to extract those precious resources (icons, imagenes, etc.) from the partition of OS X. There is a way here that I found to do it.
They will need to have installed:
a) Nero ImageDrive (I believe that one settles at least by default when you install Nero, in version 6).
Some program that serves to accede to discs formated in HFS, the file system of the Mac. I use the MacDrive because it allows to read discs of Mac as if it was any normal disc of PC, but I suppose that any other like TransMac can be used for example.
The procedure is quite simple:
1. Install the Nero Image Drive and the MacDrive. Be sure of both are working right.
2, Rename the disc image with which you take OS X (normally PantherImage.img) to the extension iso (PantherImage.iso).
3. open the Control Panel and activate the Nero Image Drive there. In the Options tab select the PantherImage.iso file like "Image" and click in Load if it is not automatic loading.
4. If everything is well, immediately Windows will detect your new disc like a DVD to which you can accede normally from My PC. You can now copy any file from the partition of OS X to your writing-desk or any folder that you wish.
5. Before returning to use the PearPC, disassembles the image from ImageDrive and rename it to PantherImage.img again
Note: Personally I haven't tried to make another thing than copy archives, never to erase or move them within the partition of OS X from the Mac Drive (I not even know if it lets to you do it), but prefer not to try it and to conduct those operations from same OS X, since I don't want to risk to damage the file system given the time that takes to install the Panther. I hope it helps.

dmg files are a mac specific format, the equivalent of a "mac only ISO file", they're mountable, as you can see a dmg file as another drive or cd, unfortunately there's no work around, I myself tried for many months finding a solution to convert dmg's to iso's or something else. the easiest solution is find someone you know with a mac, get them to "mount" the file, then burn it onto a cd as an ISO which any computer should be able to read.
Aside from that,you can't open a guikit to extract the files. You need to get guikitty from unsanity. This will decompile the guikit into editable rsrc files that can be read by Themepark. While in Themepark you can then export the images to Photoshop and save them as pngs....keep in mind this is while using PearPC......very tedious....

There is a way to make it work on Windows. I just think Apple doesn't reveal the image structure, so it is almost impossible to figure out how the content is saved in it, so that one could write a program accessing the data. That it is the genuine Macintosh OS image format doesn't exclude any other OS'ses from accessing it, it's just that nobody knows how to
