[help] Css Tables

Hi All

I am currently designing my personal website by using 100% CSS Tables and I am having a few problems with Mozilla compatiblity.

I am looking for some tutorials and preview sites to help me with this.

If you want to see what I have done, PM or email me and I will send the files of my current work.

Why're you making your website with CSS tables?

Tables are meant for tabular data.

I somehow doubt your entire site is made up of tabular data...

Just because you use tables for design pre-CSS doesn't mean that you have to use CSS tables - you should, for positioning, be using "normal" CSS positioning...

If you want to talk in more depth, lemme know.

When I say CSS Tables, I am talking about CSS Positioning. It's just my term for create sites using NO tables and only CSS.

If you want to have a look at what I have done, PM me.

css is driving me nuts...so is Dreamweaver MX...it's as buggy as a whole city of bugs in Bugland! I'm going back to good old tables and Dreamweaver4...you can't get rid of html! hehe.

Once you get used to CSS it's a beautiful thing. Positioning divs and such is soo much less a pain in the arse. Not to mention the handy dandy z-index for layering.

I started building this site with frontpage....what a mistake!...in 1998, I knew nothing about web building and now this site has thousands of pages! (It's supposed to be an environmental resource)...and it gets a lot of traffic...there's only one on the web team...namely myself.

I don't think there's anyway I can apply css...it's just too big and out of date!

I agree css is the way forward, but I don't think I can apply it as the news items are simply a cut and paste job from Notepad into yesterdays table.

I'm a bit frustrated...any tips...Stevie?

God...I love my Apple pro keyboard...it just sounds right! (Sorry...off subject!)
