fireworks is capable of vector graphics, but I am unsure of how to save this information in any format but png - only useful for fireworks >.< , if someone knows how to convert fireworks to eps or something else, whilst retaining all of the information, please pm me!

I would try copying and pasting into Illustrator.
If that fails how about opening in Flash and converting to vector paths and copying and pasting into Illustrator that way.
OR
DRAW THE DAMN THING IN ILLUSTRATOR IN THE FIRST PLACE!
I'm only kidding - but it would have been slightly easier.

actually, the little "stars" you have are actually four dots. (dots more like diamonds) its like what you have split up in four parts. i dunno how to say it.

Hi, I came across this thread while searching for a solution to the converting-Fireworks-vector -PNG-to-Illustrator-vector issue. I thought this was gonna be my answer but then sei-aidyn suddenly posted the files without saying how he did it.
Does sei-aidyn know how, or anyone else? If you're reading this, did you convert the PNG file somehow or did you just redraw in Illustrator? I can't seem to find any way of saving Fireworks vectors at all, except for the PNG's which only retain vectors for Fireworks, and AI's which seems to mess everything up especially text. If anyone has a solution I'd very greatly appreciate it, as it seems that Fireworks was designed to make this completely impossible.

I don't know of a solution, sorry. This topic is two years old anyway. Someone wanna lock it?
Apparently you can export a file from Fireworks in an Illustrator file format. This gives you the benefit of creating an Illustrator file (vector only!) without learning a third tool.
(From http://www.informit.com/articles/article.a...4&seqNum=2&rl=1, which didn't offer anything further--look into the Export function).
