New Italk And Aquavolume

Ok kids! Here they are.

iTalk has quite a few bug fixes (and I'm sure a bunch of new bugs). The main enhancement is custom avatars. They are now shared with other iTalk users

The custom avatar is composed of 2 images in a single bitmap file. 34 pixels high and 68 pixels wide. Here is a sample:

The left side image shows in your buddy list window. The right side image shows in the chat window.

To set your custom avatar, just drag the bitmap file onto the avatar in the buddy list. (Upper right corner)

AquaVolume supports hotkeys for opening and closing the CD tray. Also, the top left corner is a hot-spot that will activate your screensaver.

OOPS...almost forgot. You MUST download and install the latest AquaControls first. (Which will more than likely break AquaMail and AquaBrowser if you are using them. I'm working on getting new builds out of those tomorrow).

it's good, but i would not use it since it uses ~30 mb of ram after contributing in a converstaion. It's pretty cool though

one thing i would like to ask if that, one o fmy buddie's name is long, and i ask that you cut off the ending that exceeds the length to the buttons

if you dun get wha ti mean, i'll give u a screenshot

also, reaction time is quite slow, i am able to make the "talking bubble" not appear by pressing a key and delete really fast

there should be a way to let you get rid of the icon, so the windows becomes very minimaistic. oh, and color change :)i dun like that purple

overall its very nice and inspiring, but i wouldn't use it, waaay too heavy

the emptyness that took over "the never ending story" came here 2 months ago, bringing spams and dark to our life... Atreyu Jef with the help of italk falkor have finally defeated the emptyness back to where it came from.

edit: jef, aquavolume rules. but one thing i would like to know if its possible for you to make the gray background a lot more transparent and dark, even black. the current one is a lot more brighter on a white background, than the real one on the osx on a white background as well. Can you reply back so i can know if you will implement that or not?

I press all the buttons on my keyboard, and in different combinations, but nothing happens.

It just like the other Aquavolume releases, non of them worked on my Computer :-(

Yeah now it does work, great JOB !

And when I aktivate the option that I have an Apple Keyboard, although I only have a keyboard with multimedia buttons, I can use my Audio Buttons !

I discovered a new bug in Aquavolume.

I am using WindowFX2 from Stardock, and when I aktivate Aquavolume,

my system stucks from time to time, when I open and close my windows.

After I shut down aquavolume every FadeIN und FadeOut animation worked fine.

I hope you find a way to fix this bug

jef, the new aquavolume is great. If you want some criticism, the corners could be a little bit smoother. And the fade out seems a bit too fast. But that could have changed with Jaguar because the Macs I compare with have OS 10.1. Also I assume the beep has changed with Jaguar, because it is dramatically different compared with the OS 10.1 sound. Other than those two things it is just about perfect! And I love the compatibility with the Apple Pro Keyboard! I am definitly getting one now! Way to go Jef.

AquaVolume now works for me, so those that had problems, it is more likely to work now. Thanks a bunch, it rocks! I need something to do this, cause i regule sound manually in the speakers. but with this utility, is faster and good looking.

Thanks for the latest update of AquaVolume, Its just like the mac!! Do you know if it would be possible in future releases to have it so you can just hit a single hotkey instead of the need to hit shift, control, win, etc + the Hotkey? I was previously using Hotkeycontrol Xp, that had that ability, but did not look nearly as pretty!!! The way that I had my keyboard setup is that I use F9-f12 for the volume, mute, eject keys. It may not be a mac keyboard, but works pretty darn close.

For some reason, my italk installation is ****** up. I installed the new aqua controls, then the aquavolume, and then italk. The italk aco**** window popped out, i placed mmr_85 as my user, i think it must have the @hotmail.com at the end. So it closed and a message saying:

Component 'MSWINSCK.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or valid iTalk.

And for some reason, while I wrote this quote, my aquavolume crashed, weird.

Well any ways, i have tried to uninstall all, and re install everything of this, and no luck, it keeps popping that window, and not the account one, is there a solution for this?

w00t!! Love the new version of AquaVolume, an chance you could include an option to either change or turn off the sound?, also I have a Logitech freedom keyboard and I find that Aquavolume response is a little slow.

Amazing.. i love Aqua volume... its great.. i checked the option to check if you have an apple keyboard with volune... i dont have an apple keyboard but i have 2 volume buttons on the top and they work!!!!!! i love it!

The volume app also works with my normal HP volume keys but the eject key doesnt work (I believe thats software based though)

I have the same problem, but i can't even see the account window, I get the error when the program is going to start...

please help
