I have a friend on another forum who wants to know if it's possible for iTunes (on a server) to sync its self up (on client PCs).
So I like Itunes alot for ripping and burning, but...It's a pain to use with my HTPC, my computer, and my wifes computer all adding music to the centralized library on the server via a mapped network drive.
iTunes doesn't have a good sync feature to update it's own music out of it's library often causing lots of duplicate songs.
Sooo....
What's better?
I could just use a basic shell like winamp and use the fie system for loading up stuff, but that just seems old school.
What do you guys use/recomend? Or does anyone know how to move where iTunes stores it's library information, so I can centralize that?
Now I know that iTunes can do this (or atleast I've read guides that show how to setup a iTunes over a network) but I can't remember much or where to get some guides. So how do you setup iTunes on a central server with auto updating client PCs? (I know that iTunes updates the library everytime you open it)
