When I goto a webpage that has java applet in firebox..during the loading period my OD/Avedesk will flash...it also slows down firefox...I don't have that issue in Internet explorer. What's causing this? Do we have a fix?

Maybe firefox is using an old version of the JRE. I had this issue with Java 1.2 and 1.3. The latest 1.4 fixed it for me. Somehow, older versions of Java don't like layered windows...
Try to get the latest JRE and remove old versions.

If I remember correctly, it's to do with the old (pre 1.4) JRE's implementations/use of Swing libraries... They're not very robust, at best...
Like Ave says, get the latest JRe (1.4.2, I believe) and that should fix it.
