[request] A The Mac Printer Docklet?

I just got a powerbook, and i found the printer docklet in the MACdock is very cute, when I print some file, in the icon in dock there will be a animation in which one paper slot down slowly from the printer icon, just like the real printer. Could some gifted one here make a docklet just like it for Y'z dock?

wow, i don't get that. when i print, a photorealistic icon of my own printer model (yes, exactly that model) appears in the dock, then disappears when the print job is finished. are you printing on a network or what?

Is it in synch with the actual paper output?

I think I can manage an animation for each page when its finished,

but only guess how long it would take for a single page to print.

yeah, I actually print from the network.

and the time is the actual time one paper is printed, it is short. so for taking the screenshoot, I printed several papers.

perhaps theres a way to sync to windows print manager/printing and faxing. that always seems to say what page I'm on. :)

another idea is to have a sort of label on the icon as to how many pages are left? sort of like the label for number of e-mails? again...another idea.

thanks for doing this :)

This sounds promising! Keep going! I would love this beauty in my dock! ;)

There is still one problem:

Neither YZ nor OD allow for desklets to appear and disappear on their own will -

so this desklet will be, as all other desklets, always on. The original Mac desklet shows up only during printing, as I suspect. However, AveDesk can do it.
