i've never been one to rant, so this feels a little awkward, but it's not so much a rant as it is a literary sigh.
anyway, i go to northwestern university, and i'm graduating in june, at the end of my 3-year career here. it's almost mid-may and i have yet to secure a job, so my immediate future looks free and rather destitute. i've been applying to companies through career services, but not much has surfaced. i've had 2 interviews, but neither resulted in an offer. i didn't even get interviews for the others. i assumed my resume was poor, but everyone's told me my resume and academic performance have been solid. in any case, i'm still, at this juncture, umemployed and potentially homeless (i could go back to my family, but i'd like to get a job).
i haven't had time to work on my books (and i know publishing takes forever), since i've been busy with school and my thesis. everything is just finish up so fast, i still have no plan, my future is uncertain, and i still haven't found myself.
i'm not looking for a self-esteem boost, a pat on the back, or luck. i don't even know what i want, but sometimes the prospect of being a humble hermit seems so beautifully appealing. all i can say is, oh well.
i might want to start up my own business, but i don't know what to try, how to start, or where to go.
this is just one big sigh.
