[help] Setting Up A Private Area...

I want to set up a private section on my web host. I will only have two users but I want it to prompt those users for a name and password which I will create. Really it just needs to be a page that askes for a password to access a certain folder.

any tips....?

In the control panel of your server you should be able to add a password protection feature and in that same place, you should be able to define the allowed usernames and passwords. At least this is how it happens with my host. They use Cpanel.

if your on a Unix/linux host.. or *nix in general, look up information about .htaccess files and .htpasswd files. They both relate to each other.. with the right settings in those files, placed in a directory, will require a username/ password, so google that up and you can get some tutorials on how to make it work
