[help] Wireless Blues

For some odd reason, my wireless connection will just drop after like 3 hours, and I have to do a lot of things to get it back up and running, but I don't know what's causing it. I can workaround it by using ethernet cable, but when other people want to use it, its going to be a very big inconvenience for them, and I need to know how to fix this.

My dad's computer also has been having problems with my network. To get to the internet first of all, after coming out of standby, I have to check/uncheck every time the option for Windows to configure my wireless settings. I've also noticed that although I can receive data, I can't send data (I.e: posting on a forum)

Specs:

DLink DI524 Wireless Router

DLink DWLG634 Wireless PCMCIA card

(above products use G Standard)

Dell Inspiron 2600

Dad's computer:

Dell TrueMobile 1150 Wireless LAN Card (B)

Please help!!!!

I have own some little time D-Link, and that was terrible quality. It always cut my connections. When i buy new WLAN devices (because i sell immediately those D-Link's), all work fine and with bigger range! D-Link is worst WLAN maker that i know!!!

I recommend that you try Linksys (best) or Netgear (second best) WLAN device (card and router) if possible.

In Linksys has better port forward options and it work better than Netgear (my friend has problem when he use my WLAN card). Myself i have Netgear and it work fine with my computer. Only port forward settings are not as good as linksys.
