It's getting a little annoying having people post "Hey, look what I made...but you can't have it. Nanny nanny boo boo.".
If you have an app, post it, if you dont plan on sharing it, keep it to yourself.
What good does it do but have a thread with "Please email me the app" a thousand frikkin times and no results?
Or maybe your a spam bot trying to collect lamers email addys...
either way, it's annoying and doesnt help anything.

Ya, I agree. Dont start boasting about your new app until it is ready to share. It is great that you are making one and contributing to the community. But make sure it is finished or near complete before posting about it.
Yes, agreed. I am excited about all of the possibilities, but jesus. I've seen alot of great apps "Announced", but none came to fruition.
What gives?
Those threads are extremly annoying, as those announcing that there are beta testers out there testing it, dont make it public. If people even beg to be a beta tester, they beg more when they know about a new product with existen beta testers.
I just thought of something.
It's posts like this that make people judge me wrong.
But, I can see, ever so slightly, how it can be misunderstood.
Anyway, my point still stands.
Guys you're completly wrong. Most of the time, developpers communicate on their soft because they need support and ideas. You ask them to release their alphas/betas more often? They will! but it won't work. You will complain even more then now you are complaining because they're not so keen on releasing their software too early. I mean, I spend most of my time on iPhoto answering messages, always the same, I let you guess what the point is in their message. Don't get me wrong I do enjoy anwsering those messages, I like support in any ways, but I don't really like the idea of : "Make your app, shut the **** up, don't tell anybody about this. release it when it's ready and then go to hell!". Another thing is that developpers always underestimate integration. Making sure all the parts of the program are working properly, making those settings windows, etc are realy time consuming, and most developers just underestimate it (I still do

duckie was refering in the begining to the people who tease with "new" stuff but nevert plan on sharing it. - thats the problem.
I agree with jmitch on this actually. i honestly think there is no need to announce something that may not be invested completely, 3 months in advance or even forgotten. Its just useless.
I also dont think people in the community "treat" the programers as "get the appli done, shut up and tha hell with you". Again, people who show off something and never share it - THATS THE REAL ISSUE.
