Major Qcd Problem

Okay so I was sitting here working on some icons and listening to music in QCD when a balloon popped up saying "Low Disk Space". I checked, and my C: which is a 26GB partition had 433mb free and 25GB used, and I just formatted it yesterday morning!

So I went on a hunt to find out where these huge files were. After a while I found the culprit folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\Chris Kite\Local Settings\Temp

There was a file in there called "image" that was 25GB in size. The file next to it said image.qcd. I tried deleting the files but they were in use. I closed QCD, and magically the files disappeared and I have 25GB free again.

Anyone have any idea what in the hell happened? I would really appreciate the help so it doesn't happen again.

Thanks,

Now it's happening again. QCD is on and the file is slowly building up. It's at 3GB right now and keeps going up. What is going on with this thing?

.QCD is a Cliq Accessories Phonebook Data or QuarkCopyDesk SE file format.

If you think this is a QCD Media player related issue shouldn't you post this over at the QCD forums instead of here?

dude, that really sucks! 25 GB?!?! Could it be a virus thats causing this? dang..

Okay I checked the extensions and yes one is image.qcd but it's not the file that builds up. The other is image.tmp and it is the one that appears once QCD is loaded and then it slowly builds up in filesize. I'll post over at the QCD forums now, I just wondered if anybody knew off hand or has had that problem before.

I posted my problem on the QCD forum and Paul, the creator of QCD replied back. He said he'd look into it but for now to turn off "Folder Mirroring" which I did have on because that is what creates the image.qcd and image.tmp files.

Just wanted to let everyone know in case they are having the same problem or if you do have "Folder Mirroring" enabled under "Media Loading" check and make sure it's not happening to you as well.
