Awsome work.

Thank, Aviel.

I love this wallpaper but I have a 'constructive' suggestion to improve it, which would be the shadow fades the wrong way.

#158620

um...i think its goin the right way, the light is shining to the left, bc the sword has lighting on the left side, which means the shadow goes on the right. am i wrong? *not smartass*

nice job, btw

I'm not disputing the lighting direction - I'm talking about the fact that the shadow starts at 0% opacity at the bottom of the sword then fades into 100% as it moves away from the sword.....

[Edit] here to show what I mean....

I dont know about that. I think the shadow is ok as it is since the handle would have a shadow but not so much the blade...

Nice wall :)

I'm afraid not. If you look at ANY shadow or make one yourself you would see that the base of an object would create a dense shadow. To create a shadow like that the base of the sword would have to be creating a light source equal to the the light source of the environment.

Anyway I don't mean to take the attention away from this great wallpaper - my apologies. I just feel with that minor adjustment it would work alot better.

If a giant ball was hovering with a string attached holding it to the ground, I'm pretty sure there would be a darker shadow for the ball than the base of the string...

haha, thats a funny example, and u are right.

for twice the distance away, however, i recon, the object would have to be at least twice the size - the handle is only marginaly wider, and way further away,

the shadow would dissapear halfway up the blade anyway, light spreads.
