Convert Pngs To Icons

What program do you guys use to convert PNG to icons?

I used Axialis, but it turns out that the icons looks a bit jagged when displayed in smaller size like 64x64.

I want to convert a batch of PNG files to icons and each with several sizes.

Anyone can help?

Below I compare with extracted icon from Iceman's dll.

there is no tutorial on converting PNGs to ico there... :unsure:

i have a tutorial for ico to png, and it can be used in the other way, but it requires a graphics program to make the resizes, insert all sizes in icon sushi, and save the multiple size icon. Are you sure you are inserting the correct size icons on axialis? it is the best tool for bacth, and others are not that good.

well I use PS7 to resize the image for each size (24x, 32x, 48x, 72x, ...) and export each one. Then I create a new icon in IconXP and import the png images for each corresponding size into the icon file.

yea, I think I have done the right way.

I opened the PNG in the Axialis and then create new image format for it and save it as icons. But it still come out with jagged icon not as smooth as Iceman's.

anyone know how to correct this?

i make the same, resize on ps7, and then insert all the formats in icon sushi, it is not that easy as axialis, it takes more, but i think the quality is superior, since i trust more ps 7 to resize than axialis.,

I tried resize it using PS7 and then the result is great.

damn, this is really time consuming. I have to convert png to several sizes using PS7 before I can import them to axialis and create single ico file.

you can make a new action, and save your resize, it will make an output of the files where you make them, with the same name always.
