I have a voice-over-ip phone at my workplace that basically allow us to make phone call s using our internet bandwith.
What I want to know, how much bandwith does it 'eat' to say make a 1 minute phone call? Anyone knows?
Does it mean it will be the same if I make a local phone call and overseas call? (since it's using an internet line)

maybe.
Most companies do an internal VoIP system, which then connects to a normal outbound phone system. The VoIP part is just so you have need polycom phones.

thats between 30Kbits/s and 160 kbits/s in the language that your connection was probably sold to you in.
