if you want to display any text by the clock, you can do like this:

go to regional settings on the control panel and add the text you want to the am/pm text. then go to the date format display and add "t" next to the hh:mm. bear in mind that the quantity of "t"s is the quantity of letters on the am/pm text, so if i wanted Menge by my clock, i'd go

AM : Menge

PM : Menge

Time Format: hh:mm:ss ttttt

that'll get ur name by the clock neato trick

I use to do this do display my name, but the bad thing about this tip,

Is that your name will apear with all (or most of all) dates on your pc, like the last time played on itunes, or the time that a e-mail was received... and stuff like that...

I´ve played with this tip, then deleted all at "AM" and "PM" and now I lost the date in my email prog (Thunderbird, column time )

Of course it will display your name with all dates, but I think it's cool, I just simply change the time format to 24 hours.

Dude, that's cool. How do you change the format to display seconds without having to download software? Is there a registry tweak or something?

he just explained how to do it.......

Worth noting will be that it can cause a bug or two to arise in some applications. For example a program we make here at work when it reads the date crashes because when it parses the date string it is only setup to handle the default time format. Bad programming on their part here, but it could show up in other applications...just a heads up.
