[help] Samurize

Yeah I just d/l the newest version of Samurize today. I had some problems with the previous version but so far this one has gone a little better. For now I'm not worrying about the weather widget stuff.....all I'm focusing on is Winamp widget. The only thing I have installed so far is the Milk Winamp theme. There were numerous times when my Anti-Virus popped up warning me about malicious scripts but I allowed it to go. I followed directions from TadisGUI as closely as possible. So where I am right now is I've got black Winamp widget on desktop (and I love the look of it!!!) but cannot get it to display what's playing or anything like that. Please bear with me b/c I'm not some idiot on computers.......just always have a difficult time being patient with instructions that take a long time. Got ADHD!!! Thanks for any help I'd really appreciate it guys!

Check to see if your advancemediainfo DLL is in your plugin folder. Just a guess???

I know with WMP you need to allow the plugin to run in the background through the players options, not sure about winamp though....anyone else??

Yeah the advancemediainfo.DLL file is in both the plug-in folder in Samurize as well as within the Milk Suite V0.3.

Go through all your winamp properties/options and look for plugin options....enable them if they are there.

Okay dude....now we're getting somewhere!!! I'm now able to view the graphic equalizer bars moving up and down which of course is progress. I am wondering what other d/l's I for Samurize b/c as I have said I only have installed Milk V0.3 so far? Also, am I able to close my regular Winamp skin and still keep Winamp running via my Samurize Winamp widget??? Thanks a lot for all of your help!!!

btw - I live in Scottsdale but am visiting family in NJ right now!

I'm sorry to keep bugging you with questions but maybe you can help me with one more. Do I need to d/l some of the other Winamp d/l's that I see available throughout this forum and what not??? And is it a bad thing that I was seeing my Norton pop up alerting me of malicious scripts? Thanks so much man!!!

short and sweet...go to samurize.com and look throught the downloads section....everything you'll need is there. I don't run winamp, so I am not the best person with this...I do know there are .exe's available to start/stop/ etc for winamp. Anytime a unfamiliar script is run, Norton will react...just authorize the script and that is the end of it.
