[release] Mailcheck Evolution For Multimeter

Hopla,

I made a little modification of the MailCheck script for MultiMeter docklet/desklet.

I modified the script to add more graphical stuff and add multi-server feature.

Take a look at it here:

mailcheckevo_tb.jpg

Added:

Multi server support, with stats for each one.

Graphical display of the number of mail in the icon.

The installation is simple:

- Get MultiMeter docket on http://www.dockex.com

- Extract the archive in the .../Docklet/Multimeter/themes/ folder

- Execute the "install_mailcheck.cmd" to register the library

- Configure your accounts in the "MailCheck.vbs"

- Configure the "Theme.ini" to make mailcheck as default

- Add the docklet

Thanks my french german inhabitant :D , you are a better scripter than I am. Can we expect more stuff from you in the future?

#157477

well if it's only scripting like this... yeah :)

If it's coding the COM component... oula, i can't promise you :P

#157479

can anybody tell me why whenever i try to add the multimeter desklet to my configuration, avedesk always performs an illegal operation and shuts down???

also ... does this email checker only work for pop servers or does it work for imap too?

#171000

I dunno why it crashes when you lauch a MM... it should work, are you sure to have the OD docklet and not the YZDock one???

for now it only works with POP servers, the COM component coded by Ave (thanks to him) doesn't support IMAP but you can request it :) hehe

Alright thanks to herd I got MM working ... but if only this desklet supported IMAP! Ave, I know you work so hard on everything but could you please update with IMAP support?

------ EDIT ------

alright so i put in my IMAP info into the script, and it seems to actually work. thanks for the help. but now i have a dumb question ... avedesk displayed the default ? png behind the mail png, so i created a blank png and set that behind. however, after saving the configuration and restarting avedesk, the ? png is right back behind ... what's the solution?

My Avedesk also crashes as soon as I try to add the mailcheck item :/ Any tips?

#204212

Did the other Multimeter configs work for you?

1. You didn't bother with the readme and forgot to doubleclick on install.cmd.

2. Same as above, but with the install_mailcheck.cmd

3. You were referring to another desklet altogether.

Hello,

are there better images than the one within?

Its looking too small in Onject Dock by me... I mean its smaller than the other Icons on my dock

Or can I change the size somewhere???

Bye

Actually this one was designed with AveDesk in mind and looks best

on 128x128 pixels. Downscaling this one won't look any good, I'm

afraid.

yeah you're right, i made this thinking about AveDesk mainly, Object dock has no sublabel and everything so...

Of course you can change the icon in state of resizing it in the script... take your favourite icon and just replace the old by your. if you know how to use photoshop, just add the little notification area in the second icon.

I recentrly changed the way i checked everything... i don't remember what i did in this script... pfffff :moon: :moon: :moon: :moon: :moon: :moon:

Fantastic work... :) Can we hope for GMail support in a future release?

#209571

Yes, you can. I'm determined to code MAPI, IMAP and GMail support

(with asynchronous HTML and XML URI downloads) right into the

widget so that a talented scripter like Kerin can do this seamlessly.

#209695

Gmail support would r0x0r my b0x0rz
