[request] Weather Desklet.

Hi All...

Is it possible to make a weather desklet?

Maybe just an icon, and a label that shows temp. from a URL @ weather.com.

Kinda like the samurize weather script and Y'z docklet, but without the different kinds of weather icons/pictures?

Just wanted to know, because i'd really love to have a desklet like that.

add the sysStats desklet, then right click the desklet, load config, choose the weather one in the configs folder of the sysstats desklet. right click the desklet again, click meters, then click weather in the left part of the dialogue, and click configure, change the entry to this http://xoap.weather.com/weather/local/XXXXX?cc=*&unit=s . But change the XXXXX to your zip code

That should do it

i just can't get sysstats to work.. i never changed or messed with it and all of a sudden it stopped working.. :rant:

OK, i found the OB weather docklet.

But im from europe.. What do i put in the Zip code box?

Does the docklet only work for ppl from the US?

I tried to use that new .dll, but i keep getting a VB runtime error, and then Avedesk crashes.

Any ideas on how to fix that?

it's weird, the desklet's working very well here. Why don't you use samurize? If you wanna give a try, get Crni's mini weather widget, it doesn't require Weather script, it works with a plugin so it's easier to configure.
