Hmm.. I wasn't worried about deleting my entire drive since I got it backed up so I tried the option-link combination and nothing happened. My drive is still intact. I also tried several key combinations and couldn't get it to crash on me or delete the drive so it must have been a freak incident for whoever had his partition deleted.
