Using The Fonts Lucidamac/lucidamac Bold

I don't know why I never tried this before, but going through the advanced Appearanced setting in the display dialogue (where you select .msstyle files) and using either LucidaMAC or LucidaMAC Bold for almost everything makes every visual style look 100% better!

Before, I was trying DesktopX/Samurize/AveDesk to pretty much just get the look from using fonts that antialias well on their own. Wow.

I like using bold on the fonts, but I hate what it does to the default action's label on a context menu (bold-bold?) Is there any way to avoid that?

edit: There was also a way to change all the system fonts (which this doesn't) by changing the alias of system fonts. I forget which file to edit though. Anyone remember which?

i don't know if you're referring to changing in the registry the MS Dialog... if you are, just search for that text string in the registry and then change the font to whatever you want it to be.

That could be it. Thanks for the tip wookietv. I recalled a file, but perhaps that was with Win9x. I can't confirm yet as I don't want to reboot right now.

edit: Changing the two entries for MS Sans Serif worked, but there are still some areas showing MS Sans Serif. (e.g. the Run box)
