[ann] Msn Messenger 6.2.0133

That's right, we can now all jump for joy as MSN Messenger 6.2.0133 is now officially released.

For those of you who do not know what this is (although I am sure many of you do) MSN Messenger is a way to chat to your friends online plus send them files and talk to them and see them over webcam and microphone.

With the latest update as in 6.1 you can use Display Pictures but also Launch has been renamed: Fun and Games.

Also when you put in a smiley in text i.e :-) it will become the graphical smiley instantly so you know that you have not made a mistake.

Apart from that there has not been alot changed apart from their website as well into more eye catching and confusing colours.

You can get this worthwile (at least if you always like getting the newest stuff like me) Here.

just a tip! if u wanna put a lot of emoticons, you'll find out that it's reeeally annoying typing them all one by one.. as the new messenger has an instant preview and you cant copy them.. well, just press Ctrl+Z it will come back to its text form bye

As we discussed via IM, I am still using 6.1.0211, and Chris (flyakite) was able to get/hack 'most of it' to display your soothing Panther GUI skin...

I already installed MSN Plus 3 on it, but it don't changes anything about the visuals. So here you are...

I find that the WindowsX MSN version it's the same as the original MSN Messenger from Microsoft but without the banner on the contacts list and with the Skin chooser on the install progress. That's the reason that I use WindowsX version

And now I'm using MSN Plus 3 addon for some features that the original MSN Messenger don't have it like personalised status, pesonal conctact notifications, POP3 e-mail checker and so on...

The brushed skin it's on the WindowsX MSN. You can choose it when you install it.

Wow........Dr. Slump, I really appreciate your concise answer to my questions! Let me ask one more just to make sure. So I uninstall my current version of Messenger, install WindowsX MSN and I won't lose any contacts or anything like that correct? Also if I don't care about some of the options that come with Plus I don't need to install Plus to get my choice of skins do I??? THank you so much dude for the help.....I'll let you know how it goes for me.....
