It is with this vision in mind that we offer the "Dot TK Ambassador Program". Tokelau has already made friends all over the world, with more than 650,000 FREEDOMAIN.TK domains registered in every corner of the globe. With such a large, enthusiastic user base, we believe we have the human resources needed to expand our reach and spread the message "Dividing Domains Differently" to everyone in the Internet community.
We have frequently been asked by our users "How can I do more to help Tokelau?" Until now, the answer was simply "Get your 3 FREEDOMAIN.TK domains and generate traffic to them".
But, NOW we extend our arms further and invite you to become a "Dot TK Ambassador"!
The Dot TK Ambassador Program was created to energize our Dot TK users to proactively outreach into their communities, neighborhoods and workplaces to spread the message of the Tokelau Internet Project and our FREEDOMAIN.TK services. In so doing, our Ambassadors will introduce the beautiful island of Tokelau to a global audience, broaden the exposure of Dot TK domains and ultimately help us achieve the goals of the Tokelau Internet Project.
Although it is an "unofficial title", Dot TK Ambassadors can do a great deal to help promote Tokelau, FREEDOMAIN.TK and the Tokelau Internet Project.
The primary goal of the Dot TK Ambassador Program is to help us register 1,000,000 FREEDOMAIN.TK domains by May 31st, 2004! With each registration, another person becomes familiar with Tokelau and another life is touched by its story and its plight. Ultimately, as the Dot TK domain name becomes more and more popular around the world, large corporations and other capable entities will take notice. Only then will they be willing to participate in the Tokelau Internet Project in exchange for their TRADEMARK.TK domain name and only then will Tokelau get the funds and the resources needed to raise the standard of living for its people! Dot TK is a joint venture of the Government of Tokelau, it's communication company Teletok and Taloha, Inc., a privately held company. The Government of Tokelau has appointed Taloha, Inc. as the exclusive registration entity.

Ambassadors earn FISH!
At Dot TK, we show our gratitude to our Ambassadors by rewarding them with special recognition and with virtual "FISH". As you know on Tokelau, fishing is a full time job and FISH are a valuable commodity. Well, in keeping with the culture on Tokelau, the Ambassador Reward Program also revolves around FISH. Of course with our Program we are talking about "virtual" FISH, which are earned each time an Ambassador refers a new Dot TK registrant. The FISH you earn and accumulate are tracked by Dot TK and can be exchanged in our "Barter Market" for all kinds of items of interest. Click here to see what is available in the Dot TK Barter Market.
Only fresh FISH can be bartered
Keep in mind that your FISH will remain "fresh" only if you are an "active" Ambassador and only "fresh" FISH can be bartered in the Barter Market. You are considered an "active" Ambassador if you have referred at least 1 new registrant in any 90-day period.
Once an account goes "inactive" all of your fresh FISH will become "spoiled" and can not be bartered. So, it is best to either barter your fresh FISH quickly, or if you wish to accumulate fresh FISH in an attempt to barter for a premium item, you must stay active by referring at least 1 new registrant per 90 days!
Also, the more new registrants you refer, the greater your Ambassador "Level". Upon meeting pre-determined achievement goals Ambassadors accelerate through five (5) levels of distinction, each earning more FISH for each new registration and greater recognition from Dot TK.
