OK i have Direct X 9, Win XP, 1.6gb cpu, 256mb ram. so plenty of stuf to run this.
I can install MD perfectly fine with no problems but when i go to run it i get the windows this program has encountered a problem and will now shut down.
I would think somthing on my system might be doing this but my hubby has the EXACT same pc as i do and his runs great.
If needed i can grab a screen cap of the error report and post it.
Any ideas on whats going on and wh MD wont run?

Do you have the latest windows updates installed? Also, make sure you have your color depth set to 32 bit (right click on the desktop, go to settings, and from the drop down menu select the 32 bit option.)
the windows update i dont have but yeah i forgot to add that i am set at 32bit color..
i will download the update and see if that works.
To add my hubby has not the lastest updaste but the one before tha....i dont htink i have ever updated..opps my bad.

HAHA i have not even tried yet, still dealing with windows update. Took 20 minutes to download and now it is installing. i was bad and have not updated since Saturday, June 07, 2003.....oops
as soon as it finishes i will try. i would HATE to be on dial up when updating

I'm not sure about Windows Update is necessary. I have Windows XP Pro SP1 WITHOUT any updates from M$, but I have DirectX 9b installed and the screen colour setted on 32 colours. Check your videocard, maybe you must have the last driver from the videocard or GPU factory. The Windows installed driver is not good.

Can´t you provide more details?
If your motherboard is old probably the chipset used for graphics isn´t powerfull enought to support Mobydock requirements (ex: intel onboard chips), if the board in more recent we need to know wich chipset is using. It´s from nvidia?
Do you know wich motherboard do you have? Model?
That info would help a lot.

it isa brand new mobo.....and like i said before my hubby is running the EXACT same system all parts are the same
