[help] With Danimator's Panther Skin

Hi ... first i wanna give the thanks to Danimator for these greats skins ... the best i've seen. But i got a few bugs/problems i wanna fix cause they're killing me >.< .

1st problem ... how to make WB Properties gets back to normal size

2nd problem ... how to make that the text on the buttons fits the button size

3rd problem ... how to make this dialogue gets back to normal size, cause the image is ugly because now it's bigguer

If you have SkinStudio, you can edit the font that buttons use to make it smaller. I believe it is Font 8 or Font 10.

I am also experiencing problems 1 and 3. I only notice the enlarging pixelated effect with my shutdown dialog, shown below:

thanks for the tips guys ... i really love this skin but i hope Danimator fix it when he gave time ... for now i'm buying SkinStudio ... if any of you fix any of this problems in SkinStudio could u please send the fix skin to me ... the problem is that i don't have experience with it and may take some time to learn

the shutdown dialog prob is because of Flykites mod, you'll see its perfectly fine if you dont have a modded system file for that. As for #1 no idea, mine doesn't do that, these might be from the fact that like I said before, I modded Fykites system files to use the proper Real Mac size fonts, which are large, so could be thats causing your probs...best thing to do is mod Flykites files to use the proper fonts and sizes like I specified in the release thread for the skin, you'll find if you do that you wont have those issues, as I already sent my sys file mods to others, and they don't experience any of those issues.

If someone can try on a system that hasn't modded or replaced system files, it'll make things much easier, as Flykite's system mods dramatically effect how windowblinds skins some things, cuz of some dialogs, progressbar, etc that he resized/changed when he did his mods.

I did not use this Flyaskite mod you speak of. The only mods I have installed are WindowBlinds, ObjectBar, ObjectDock, AveDesk, WindowFX, and VirtualOS Boot Loader.

If you did NOT mod Flykites sytem files to use LucidaMac, and change its size to 10 in ALL the flykites system files...AND...if you ONLY did the regedit thingy to change the "ms shell dlg" keys in the registry, that is whats causing all the probs with your dialogs, etc.

So if your not planning on modding the files, change those regkeys back to what they were before. But if ya want it to look like the screenie, you HAVE to mod the files as well.

Like I said, if you're too lazy to mod them all yourself, send me an instant message on msn, etc, and I'll send ya the modded ones, and all your probs will disapear.

Lokote: I'll send em to you on instant message, they're too big for email. The files are exactly the same as Flykite's (as I used those) except that I changed the font used in ALL the files, to LucidaMac, size 10, and changed the size of buttons to height=11 as well. (had to do that cuz soon as you change the font to that, the buttons get huge, so they had to be resized as well.)

i can't receive the file either 'cause i'm using 56k Modem ... but we could learn how to change settings on Flyakite's Sys Pack (for personal use) snd that way Danimator won't have to take so much of his precious time to help us one by one

The problem with the logoff dialog box and some of the windows being chopped short is because you have replace some of the default MS dialog fonts. I can't remember which ones those are though >.

MS Shell Dlg = Microsoft Sans Serif

MS Shell Dlg 2 = Tahoma

Edit:

Rebooted and everything got back to normal, problem 1 is no more.
