[help] Stefanka English Sysfiles Installation

Help please if you can...

I have finally decided to translate in italian StefanKa sysfiles. To be sure that the

files were correct (except for the language, of course) I decided to install English

modded sysfiles on my system, and verify problems in advance. But I cannot end

installation. I've followed instruction: I have WinXP Home SP1 (italian), updated files (first time up to 10 february, date of "birth" of modded sysfiles and last time up to today). But when I reboot to let modded file to be loaded, my system enters

in "reboot loop". It never stops to reboot, giving blue screen with a "logon application error".

I tried this installation on 2 different PCs but the result was the same.

What am I doing wrong? Or is it normal installing files of a different language?

I hope someone can help me.

You have make a mistake with the user32.dll- Try to restore the user32.dll.

You are right, installing all files except user32.dll the installation ends and all is OK.

I have only 2 questions to start my hard work of translation: must I update files

up to today or up to the date you realised the English sysfiles?

And what should I do with user32.dll? leave the original one ore reshack manually?

I'm ready to start... and thanks again to the master.

Hi guys,

I have been trying to install the Stefanka System files and no success.

First a brief history:

At first I had the problem of the system entering into a boot loop. But this problem was sorted out on one of the articles, thanx to the master, Stefanka. I excluded the copying of the user32.dll file. :moon:

Then came another problem. During boot, when the system is about to bring the windows logon screen, it issues an error, saying "Could not find procedure entry point in dll shlsapi.dll, then it brings another error, "could not load msgina.dll". It then asks to reboot. After reboot, it does the same thing. :cry:

What could be the problem? Could it be that I might be having old system files and the Stefanka system files are assuming certain files to be updated? Any pre-requisites before the Stefanka files could be installed?

By the way, am using WinXP pro SP1

For Saving Time DONT TRANSLATE ALL THE FILES!!!! YOU SHOPULD PRIMARLY USE the batchmod function released in this forum. Afterwards you should only translate the files which differ in design issues (width height) from the original XP ones!!! Thats really the faster way to do that
