Since im not a fanatic gamer, mainly lately, id go for the ps2
Whats Yer Favorite Gaming Machine?
Definately the old SNES, nothing beats the old 32 bit games
me PC! lot of games & online gaming
Dreamcast forever, lol
.. PC will always be my favorite gaming machine mostly since i cant afford those damn consoles
i think the original NES might be the best....
that was when the game was more about the actual game than the graphics
some of hte most fun games ever
Favorite games:
Contra (duh), Mario Series, Halo, Unreal Tournament, Quake, and Warcraft/StartCraft Series,
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the SNES was 16 bit.
I think the only 32 bit system was released by sega. Not 100% sure on this as I'm not sure about the bit.... uhhh bitness(?)
of some of the more obscure systems, 3DO's system for example.
My favorite game ever, I probably enjoyed Phantasy Star 3 the most.
So I guess that makes my favorite system the genesis with the original bottom-mounting sega cd.
Hmmm, that reminds me of the Sherlock Holmes games for the sega cd, I loved those.
Now I have to say it's a tie between the two. ![]()
PC FOREVER!!!... and the help of emulators (SNES, N64...) ![]()
32 Bit Consoles: PS1 , Sega Saturn. The SNES was 16bit, so was the genesis.
The bits basically double each generation.
Sinclair Spectrum 8K, with the black rubber keys, you had to attach an externat cassete(sp?) player and tweak the volumen all the time to get the games to load... ![]()
Fav games.... Quake, Quake 3, X-Wing, Tie Fighter, Simon The Sorceror.
i really loved my dreamcast system! same with playstation.
/me starts new thread for favorite games..

Hmm, I always assumed PS1 and Saturn were 64 bit, because of the N64 being the same generation, at least I always thought of those 3 in the same generation.
Just to clarify, the sega "console" I was talking about was the 32x. It was really just an add on to the genesis.
EDIT: after searching a little bit I guess PS1 and Saturn were 32 bit consoles.
so does that mean the PS2 is 64 bit?
heh its all so confusing.
Vegas, Bayybbiie!
They got the loveliest machines there.
PS.: Monte Carlo been there done that.
LAN GAMING OWNZ!!!
Fav games.....Quake III Arena, Unreal Tournament, Return To Castle Wolfenstein, Undying, Medal Of Honor, Age Of Empires II........and soon to be added to this list......."DOOM3"....(bows in respect to John Carmack) ![]()

Xbox definitely. Too many buggy games on the PC. You'd think running a Radeon 9700 Pro things would be fine, but I have a TON of games where they will be about an inch offset to the right and there is nothing I can do to fix it. I have never had a problem with a console game ever. Plus I don't have to clog my PC with extra crap. That's one thing I hate about PCs. I reformat once every two weeks or at least once a month to clean it out. Especially with little programs, like WinRAR. I store all of my files in ZIP format so I don't use WinRAR or WinACE, but then very rarely I'll download some OSX crap that someone decided to compress in RAR format and I gotta install it for just one stupid file, which then screws with the registry and all that.
But yeah, Xbox all the way. DVD playing (and the new Nero 5.5.10.0 now supports Xbox DVD movie burning: thank goodness my friend has a new Sony DVD burner), ripping music to the hard drive, custom soundtracks in games, kick ass graphics, Xbox Live!, downloadable content, the sweetest console interface ever, and Splinter Cell. Good God that game is insane. It's almost TOO real. I hate it when Playstation talks about all of the sales of their PS2, like they kick ass or something. Think about how long that damn thing has existed, of course the Xbox won't catch up yet. Now you can get an Xbox for $200 with 2 games and now even NFL Fever 2002 (or 3?), while PS2 is still $200 and all you get with it is a free DVD carrying case from Best Buy.
Oh, and Multiplayer Halo or Unreal Championship...... there's nothing like it.
PC all the time.
Since 1996. But the others are also my faves but most of the time can emulate everything just what said by an Aqua-Softian.
But my fave games for PC: Please visit this thread. I almost all play that everyday!

there's no doubt, I love my dark PS2.
Games? I'm a football freak (soccer), so I have to say the ISS series (International Superstar Soccer 1 & 2, Pro Evolution Soccer 1 & 2) by Konami, those guys gave me entertainment for yeeeears...
anyone here knows or remembers what an Amstrad 464 was?
@Kye - I wouldn't go trying to download an XBOX emulater anywhere ![]()

I like PS2 the best because of its wide selection of games and the quality of games. I wouldn't go buying an XBOX now though because later this year or early next year Microsoft comes out with a new XBOX system: XBOX NEXT.
I myself have a Nintendo Gamecube. Got it last February without thinking. The only koo thing about Gamecube is that it runs on IBM PowerPC technology.
I can't use my PC because my PC is the largest pile of crap in the world.
I HATE the PS2. Its graphics SUCK. Its barely 128bit.
XBOX all the way. Graphics are soooo superier to EVERYTHING. And its gonna be the only console with Doom 3 and Halflife 2!! Ive been playing a lot of Mortal Kombat and Panzer Dragoon Orta.I cant wait to get Broadband so I can play online.
PC!!!
Games. Combat Flight Sim... all 3 versions. Rainbow Six and SHOGO!!! (Kill the Squishies) ![]()
