Hey everyone, I finished Res Hacking Windows Messenger 4.7.0105 which is currently the LATEST build of Windows Messenger for XP.
Credit goes to those at JabInc for the earlier builds from which I got the images.
Download HERE
To install just unzip and copy the files to your Messenger directory and overwrite the old files. Enjoy!

No, it's not. 5 is the Latest build of MSN Messenger, not Windows Messenger. They are two different messengers, as Windows Messenger is meant for XP. Also, 5 sucks and I've read a rant about it by the guy who develops MSN Messenger Plus! about why he doesn't like it. So that's why I am staying with Windows Messenger 4.7.0105.
5 is different to reshack than 4, I tried it just like I did 4 and fooked it up. 
Ive also heard how 4 is supposed to be better but oh well, I think the guy who made Plus is mad because hes having a harder time hacking its guts.

BTW: I dont see the difference, MSN Messenger, Windows Messenger, they look the same and its all Microsoft. 
Try JabInc's downloads section, I skimmed through it and I thought I saw it, they DID have a hacked Messenger 5. http://www.jabinc.tk/
Microsoft has stopped development on Windows Messenger and so yes 4.7x is the latest build and also the last. MSN Messenger has taken its place and it latest build is 5.0.0543. Mssesnger plus1 works on either Windows Messenger and MSn Messenger.
Res Hacking either is basically the same. There is not much diffenerence between the way they are build. I have hacked every build of both since version 4.0 and not had a single major problem.
Which one is more stable?, either!. It all depends on how bad you mess it up 
. But the main difference between early versions of 4.x is that you can hack them to resemble more like Aqua Messenger
