[help] Problem With Cdrom Drive

I got a problem with my DVDROM drive, the drive's gone from "My Computer", there are just my HDs and floppy disk, no DVD/CDRW anymore. So I decide going to control panel, system to see what's going on. I open up Device manager and in my CDROM properties, it says :"Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)" I try updating my CDROM driver but it doesn't work, it says that my current driver is the latest :(

So what should I do to get back my DVDROM and my CDRW (both of them have gone with the same problem)

Try to boot up your system in SAFE mode,

enter in Device Manager and delete the CD&DVD drivers.

Reboot the computer and let Windows fix it.

After that run this restore in the registry:

Hope this can help you!

maybe try uninstalling the dvd driver completely, reboot, then let it recognize and reinstall itself again
