[help] Firebird -> Safari

Brief history:

Installed Firefox, ran through

Pinned: Firefoxpc -> Firefoxmac

Tutorial. dont reply!!

thread, and then I read the

Pinned: Firebird -> Safari Tutorial

An update to MageGuru's tutorials

thread. Loaded the Experimental Saf Icon/Tab skin and it worked fine. Then I decided to download additional plugins for my browser and it crashed (no xbl binding for browser). Un-installed the program b/c I couldn't fix it, deleted the application data as well.

Now I reinstalled it, did the same thing, except when I load the skin, this is what I get:

screenshot

Problems:

- Back and Forward icons are missing.

- My search bar is not alligned.

- I believe the "Compact Menu" should be a dot, and the Firefox link on the right should disappear.

- My browser scrollbar on the right disappears.

Help/Suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

For some odd reason, it worked the first time. I guess I can only wait till it's completed. Thanks.

The xbl binding problem happens all the time, for various reasons. You'll need to uninstall firefox. delete the firefox folder. Then go to Documents and Settings/your-user-name/application data(hidden folder)/ and delete phoenix and mozilla folder. Reinstall firefox and xbl binding problem is gone. However, note that you'll lose all customizations that you've done

I don't know any other fix around the xbl problem though.

you should just be able to delete the file that caused the error - it will default to standard theme without losing everything. Also, what I do is make a copy of my profile - if anything goes wrong - I just delete the profile and rename the copy of profile back to Firefox - good as new - I cannot remeber the last time I created a new profile. Believe it or not, i'm basically still using my Phoenix profile - renamed!
