first of all, i'd like to thank localhost for a sweeet plug-in to itunes. it's really beautiful even i windows now.
what i would like to request is that the CurrentSong.txt showed more information, like album and such, maybe even the rate i've given to the song. to make it simple: i would like you to put more info in the CurrentSong.txt-file, it would make this plug-in even more sweet.
and again, thanks for a sweet plug-in!
Nothing is put in my CurrentSong.txt file.. I can't get it to work, and it's really bothering me.

Ok, thanks a lot for the work on the plugin for file information. I have a new request(s).I have been playing radio stations a lot recently, and so the track information in CurrentSong is a bit funky, as the information in the file is different.
I was hoping you could either send me the source code for the program so I can alter it myself, credit would obviously go to you for the whole base... Or I was wondering if you would consider changing the output of the plugin.
I was thinking that changing the order of the information would be a bad idea for backwards compatability, but always appending things is going to get confusing eventually, as the order will not make sense.
So I was thinking, on a per-line basis you could have information like this:
Line 1 = mode: radio/library
Line 2 = artist
Line 3 = track
Line 4 = album
Line 5 = track number (preferably with with leading zero, but whichever)
Line 6 = genre
Line 7 = song length
Line 8 = current track position
Line 9 = track comment
Line 10 = Radio Station Information #1 (as seen in iTunes)
Line 11 = Radio Station Information #2 (as seen in iTunes)
Line 12 = Radio Station Information #3 (as seen in iTunes)
This way I can alter my XChat script to output much more detailed information, and I can also handle whether the user is listening to a radio station (so I can format the data properly) or a library track so I can display that correctly too.
Presuming the radio station information is always presented in a certain manner I could also output the current track on the radio station in a correct manner...
I know this is quite a large change to make, but I hope that you can see the immediate advantages presented by the change.

I don't think thats the problem. I have cleartype on and it looks like its the LucidaMAC font which is, lets be honest, an awful port of Lucida - any chance this fonts mod could use Iceman's Lucida Grande port? Sure, it's not quite the same as Lucida Grande on the Mac, but the font looks good which is the most important thing.
Ok, I'm guessing I'm the only one with this problem seeing no one has mentioned it yet, but...
The 'minimise to system try' feature doesn't work on my pc.
Got sys-tray icon enabled, got box checked, minimise and it just minimises to taskbar.

Very cool plugin!
One possible bug, though.
If you configure the plugin to NOT skin the titlebar (sorry, I like my Aqua on MacOS, and my Windows widgets in Windows), but to Change the Caption of the iTunes Window, it works as indicated. The title of the iTunes window/button in the Taskbar shows the artist/song.
It also changes the title of the window when it's in its "normal" (Restored) state, which is nice, too. However, it only updates the title of the restored window after minimizing the window, and then doing another restore.
So, when playing songs with the window in the restored state, the title in the Taskbar keeps getting updated, but the title on the real iTunes window doesn't get updated.
Should that be fixed?
where does the setup copy the plugin dll file? i cant locate a plugins folder within itunes' directory.
2) after i install the plugiun and close itunes i get a windows error report saying that itunes encountered problems. anyone else getting this?

sorry i forgot to mention that I did a full system search trying to locate the dll file and it didnt find it, but it seems that it is running in itunes.
also I disabled the skin in itunes and i dont know how to set it back on.. can anyone help?

just right click the thingies you maximize, minize and close itunes with. should do the trick
Just like someone wrote a couple lines up, I also am getting an error from Windows when I close iTunes. Anyone else getting it, and is there a fix that is available??

If you´re using Samurize that may be the problem... search Samurize Forum for a new .dll for the Media Plugin if that´s the case. If not... sorry.

Just downloaded the font and menu zip file....
...however, the font in iTunes now looks realy pixelated...can someone tell me why the font is no longer smooth?
You HAVE to use ClearType for this fonts. - I can't remember where to enable it :\ sorry
Rightclick desktop > Properties > Appearance > Effects
Select ClearType in the drop-down menu and click Apply. And you're done
I am running win2k...so I cannot find cleartype....isn't that an XP thing?
