Aqua-Soft ForumsHey fellow aqua-softians, I really need some help. I've tried everything (literally) and I have given up trying to convert icons. I've tried already and I have the files I want converted (still in original untouched .sit s) And would like to have the Googie drives, Duranium icons (all packs with duranium in name), a .sit I have called 1114tetracons (forget what that one was) Anyways if someone has them in .png or could do it for me, that'd be very good.

i too would be interested as my computer for some reason really doesnt like stuffit so i cant uncompress .sit files
Well, I can uncompress .sits, just nothing has a file extension cept folders, also when I add .icns, IconWorkshop won't open it and automatically terminates. So I would be forever grateful...
There is a converted Mac icon set in png format over at OSX-e.
I think it's called 1,000 png set and has virtually all Mac system icons plus other application icons (eg Adobe, MS-Office etc) as well. I can't point you to the direct URL as OSX-e has exceeded its bandwidth limit for the month. Try again in the next few days and you'll be able to find it there.

Just download those mac icons, un-stuff them and then drag them into IconShop. If they don't have a 48x48 format you can add it with IconWorkshop.
yea, I know that already however, my stuffit is ****d and it's the latest version and when it extracts them, they have no file extension (.icns for example) and when I add one, IconWorkshop won't read it.

The author has them in Win XP format, Here is tthe link directly to the file.
As far as the others, I can convert them to ICOs or PNGs .
Yea, I saw that. I'd like em in png tho. That's okay tho, I can do it myself I guess since It'll work on my pc. thx for the heads up neways. 
No problems in the PNGs. I have aquired the other icons sets, and I will be converting them within the hour. PNGs and ICOs.
lol well i cant do anything with them cos im on a pc and cant open or play around with the RSRC files that stuffit extracts

you cant use the newest version of stuffit you need an older version I think 7 maybe..
It's 7.5 and I tried already and it works when configuring but when I tried opening a few .sits it didn't worked and crapped out so I uninstalled it and tried reinstalling 8.# which doesnt work cuz you cant configure it to keep mac files intact.
I have the Duranium, Googie Drives, and Domokun icon sets converted and zipped. In the ZIP are 128x128, 48x48, 32x32, and 16x16 icons as well as 128x128 PNGs. I can either email em or upload temporarly to my website.
