WMP has evolved eventhough this is a beta release i think that WMP has gone a step further to make a beautiful* interface for Us

this is part of the new windows xp service pack 2, which isn't out yet. it is probably from the leaked 2133 build (I think thats the build) which microsoft made a mistake of giving access to the wrong people, thus the leak. I consider this warez and this topic should be closed and locked
and there aren't that many graphical improvements
Coold someone post a screenshot and a feature list/change log? I use a "hacked" version of MP9 with DRM removed and I dont want to change if this is not that cool.

Hate to burst your bubble, but SP2 RC1 is readily available to all.
I loaded it... not bad. Not ready for primetime yet as it still has a few bugs left in it.
It also uninstalls perfectly, this is a first for M$.

maybe not, but it is a beta version. it hasn't been released by microsoft. you can (so far as I know) only get it on cracking/hacking sites or sites that release preview downloads. microsoft hasn't packaged this up for public release on its own yet, and its not available on the windows update site. so therefore, at least in my mind, its cracked/ripped from sp2.
its up to you on whether you want to install it or not. but I don't think its something that should be publically announced, especially when its beta software, and may not work correctly. this is a forum for mac emulation mainly, not this stuff, ya know?

No... it's not a Beta... it's a release candidate.
And yes... it is PUBLICLY available since March 19, 2004.

That looks so confusing. Why are there two lists of items? There is the detailed grib and then a list to the right. And then two seperate menus? Micro$oft: Home of Intuitive.

Yeah... I'm sure when the final release is out, it will be a permanent install.
It looks pretty cool, they added a ton of security, another first, but its still a bit unstable.
And they did a lot of layout changes to some of the settings panels and the new download dialog is pretty good looking too.
Looks a like like Flyakites 5.1 SP1 mod but the download indicator actually goes in the right direction.
Just decided what the hell I would install it and have a look. What I have got is nothing like the screen shots posted. Just what looks like a mini view version. Can't seem to find anything else but according to the player its was in full mode !?

right click and go to full mode. that should get u out of skin mode.

Anyway. How many people have SP2 and found a way to still mod the dlls like in Flyakites mod.
here we go ! as you will see it is in full screen, as its greyed out on the menu shown in the pic. I was really confused after seeing it like this.

Thanx for the screens guys. I dont know if it will pull people from iTunes and Winamp though. [Off Topic] I found a cool plug-in for Winamp that will let you use you iPod with it. mliPod. Its open source, thats kinda nice. Sorry if Im a little late on this. If Im not, someone make a thread about it.
