[help]machine Beeping...

>.< >.< >.< I run windows xp pro. This morning surfing about 2 hours, firefox 20040425 with 7 tabs at most, I heard machine beeping 'didudidu....'.Ignored.Seconds,'didudidu...'again.Closing firefox then going with IE,no sounds anymore.

I met this before as I employed D-tools to view a foreign-language teaching iso; uncertain time after, beep rose, stopping iso, all fine.

What's wrong? Weather warmer and warmer?

system specs? are these windows beeps? maybe a notification of some kind?

what are you doing when they beep? it could be anything, e.g. your motherboard giving you a temp warning.

what are you doing when they beep:This time ,I was just browsing by firefox;last time, using virtual vcd(dvd)-drive to watch one iso file regarding teaching.

are these windows beeps? maybe a notification of some kind?:windows beeps?no,I dont think so.There was not any notification.

Yes, well the sounds from your PC speaker are unique and it looks like the way you were describing the sound well it could be from your PC speaker and not your Windows Sounds, if you have any enabled for different types of notifications.

Bios warnings and message beeps can vary by the many, and all have distinct varying sounds. Anything from beeping a graphics card error to over heating or what ever else.

take a look at this little site for example, scroll down the page and look at the examples of bios beeping codes:

If you find any that looks like it might be like yours, at least it will give you a clue at what it could be :)
