Honda Scooter...

I'm in the need for some sort of transportation.

My uncle today asked me if I wanted to buy his scooter, so I was curious and went to his house to see what it was, drove it and it was pretty smooth and much better than I thought it would be.

But my question is, does anyone here have a scooter or this model, if so is there something I should know before buying it, or tips or anything.

Its a Honda SA50P elite s "yes i'm elite "

Year 2002, it gets about 80 miles on 1 gallon of gas, and he's asking 1000$

Dorky? :S I think it looks pretty cool, yea its not as fazy as the sports bikes but its better than walking lol.

i used to have a honda scooter.

My experience was that it's rear was very heavy. (they generally are, but this one was VERY heavy)

Scooters are excellent, main thing to make sure off is noise, (if it's loud you'll probably get tired of it after a while).

What you want is an oxygen scooter, no gas batt operated, runs silent as hell and has get up and go like you wouldnt believe.

My girls father is working for the company since they moved to the states. Let me know, and you could be the first in the states to be driving one.

i'd say it'll be another 10-20 yrs before its worth going battery.

battery tech isn't up to this use, despite the spin they feed people.

even environmentally, battery advantages are disputable (its like adding another middleman... where does the energy come from to charge it?).

get a beater diesel car, cheap on gas, surrounded by glass, and fuel efficiency means lower carbondioxide emissions with the added bonus of increasing local cancer rates.
