[preview] Column Browser

I took some time to create this little app:

Column Browser Demo

It imitates the column view of the mac os x finder.

Please not: It's definitly not finished yet and it won't be

released as a single app but will be included in my finder

clone Looca.

Known Bugs and Restrictions:

- Maximum limit for 20 columns (Dou you really need more?)

- The inactive columns behind your current folder won't hide if you click on an earlier folder

If you find any other bugs please write! Comments are welcome!

#149357

Keep up the excellent work, pantoni. Looca rocks! :D

#149360

WOW !! great, this is getting very closs to the real thing, wow wow wow!

#149367

excelent job, i cant wait for this to be implement in loca. It looks like it needs work where it stands now, but the base is there (and thats what matters). I also like it when people release little dumb previes like this.

#149414

who needs the mac finder! :naughty:

#149443

This is definitely the best multiple-column explorer/finder implementation I've seen. Very impressive! I'm curious though, any possibility for single click instead of double click? I think that's how Finder works, if I remember right..

#149602

Yeah, single click seems more convenient :)

#149614

Amazing. I'm simply shocked.

Well we'll see how these inreadible programers make their programs in the future,

cause things just keep getting better and better. :D

I love it. It's simply amazing.

Thanks Pantoni all mighty, this looks promessing :woot:

Peace

Amazing! It's very comfortable browsing files like this. Those apple GUI designer is a bunch of geniuses.

#149719

#149799

I saw this, and it made me want to switch to looca, so i could be used to that finder when this comes out. Looks great, i cant wait to see how it all works out. Keep up the good work

I was just thinking that your Finder was the best, and then you come with your column view... You're going to create the first PixelPerfect and FeaturePerfet Finder clone, you know... (Y) (Y) (Y)

#150238

:woot: It's amazing. Just as someone who couldn't program or make skins, I like using this program along with all the hard work from all others. I'm beginning to get totally addicted to this forum

Thank you for making all this great stuff!

#150871

so will this also show a preview of a file ? - eg shows a thumb nail of the file type or image and shows the file's history and file size etc. Just as it is in the real finder and XP ??

#150884

I especcially love Looca among all other Finders. And this... I've lost all my words!
