Aqua-Soft ForumsHi, I bought this months macfromat magazine and it has a cover cd, how can I get it to play on my PC running XP Home? When I put it into my hard drive it wont start and when I try to explore it, there's nothing there, thanks.

wierd thing u can`t see anything. You should at least be able to see the files
you could try using macopener or macdrive. i use both of those programs to access my firewire drive that i have formatted to use on the mac at the studio. i can see the files and everything fine on my pc. macopener will allow you to read mac formatted cd's on your pc as well. hope this helped.

That'd be enough to view the contents of the CD, that way you can get at any pictures, audio, video or text-type files, but there is no way whatsoever he can run any apps or demos off the disc.

Try the CD drive to view the files.

You shouldnt see files, its setup for Mac computers meaning, the files are encoded for macs and the mac os. Its not a mac/pc hybrid or iso9600 format, its a mac disk made for mac computers. End of story.
What? There's no Mac format, as far as I know. Macs and PCs all use the same ISO9660 / Joliet standard, don't they? It could just be an isolated case (maybe a bad CD?) I've seen CDs with contents for Windows that have behaved the same way.
